Neurodiverse Social-Adult and Life Skills Group is a Social Program for 16 years plus. The Program focuses on building and maintaining friendship skills in group activities.
Activities include:
Pizza Party with crafts & games
Wood Buffalo Regional Library
Bowling at The Alley YMM
Sensory Friendly Movie
Games and activities night
Sensory time
These activities are held twice a week on Tuesday’s 1pm to 3pm and Thursday night 6pm to 8pm.
***Please note there are no respite workers for these sessions only facilitators.***

Program Summary: The Transitions Program helps neurodiverse youth and adults develop essential life skills, build meaningful social connections, and gain the confidence they need to thrive in their community.
Program 12 Week Learning Series Includes topics such as:
Team Building – collaboration, cooperation, and group participation
Transferable Skills – identifying and applying skills across contexts
Financial Literacy – budgeting, money management, and financial responsibility
Social Cues & Conflict Resolution – navigating social interactions and resolving disagreements
Essential Daily Living Skills – personal care, time management, and organization
Communication – verbal, nonverbal, and digital strategies
Resilience-Building – coping, adaptability, and problem-solving
Pathways to Success – goal setting, planning, and navigating opportunities
Pathways to Work – resumes, interviews, and workplace expectations
Community Engagement & Volunteerism – building confidence in community participation
Self-Advocacy & Rights – understanding rights and communicating needs
Health & Well-Being – physical, mental, and emotional wellness strategies
Weekly Social Activities Include: Pizza Parties with Crafts & Games Visits to Wood Buffalo Regional Library Bowling at The Alley YMM Games & Activities Night Physical Activity & Movement Sensory Time/Sensory-Friendly Movies

This is a 2 hour training session is facilitated by the Autism Society of the RMWB. During this 2 hour session you will learn how to support individuals of all ages living with disabilities throughout their life span. Training is appropriate for caregivers, professionals, family, friends, employers and coworkers, and anyone who supports someone living with a disability, or wants to expand their knowledge of neurodiverse individuals. This training will offer a certification upon completion.
